National Center for Palms, Dates Participated, in US, Saudi Trade Mission Exhibition

In an event organized by the Saudi Export Development Authority, in New York, in cooperation with the Saudi American Business Council, the Saudi Center for Palms and Dates, has taken an active part.

The center’s team was keen to provide the most important information about dates and palms’ production in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as introducing the center’s role and programs through which it seeks to activate the local and global partnership, in marketing of dates products and work to raise the level of its production.

In addition to participation, holding exhibitions and activating the partnership between producing countries and global markets.

As many as15 Saudi companies from the building materials, foodstuffs and renewable energy sectors were participating in the mission’s work, with the aim of searching for new prospects, for cooperation with American companies.

The Saudi American trade mission includes business matching meetings for Saudi companies, to connect them with potential buyers in the American market, to support better access to national products in the American market.

It is noteworthy that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s exports of dates arrive to more than 107 countries around the world, and the percentage of processed products represents 24% of them.

The Kingdom’s keenness to lead in the field of dates globally, led to the establishment of the International Date Council, which is concerned with the international sphere, in addition to the setting off of the World Dates Conference, which aims to shed light on investment opportunities, in the sector, and promote trade and knowledge exchange through exhibitions of dates and their derivatives, studies and research that made Saudi dates so distinctive.

The center shares experiences and knowledge, in everything related to the cultivation and production of palms and dates, in addition to encouraging investment in the sector, by providing more than 19 feasibility studies for investment opportunities, in manufacturing industries, pre- and post-harvest service centers, in as well as to supporting innovation, in the date industry through many contests and hackathon dates.
