Turkish-Saudi Investment, Business Forum Starts in Istanbul

The Turkish-Saudi Investment and Business Forum started today in Istanbul, Republic of Türkiye, in the presence of Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Minister of Tourism Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb, Turkish Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Simsek, and Head of Turkish Investment Office Ahmet Burak Daglioglu. In addition, several government officials and the private sector from the two countries participated in the forum.

They discussed in the session of the Saudi-Turkish Ministerial Committee several topics related to the development of cooperation in the economic, trade, investment, and tourism fields. Topics also included reviewing promising investment opportunities between the two countries and the business environments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Türkiye.

The forum witnessed the signing of 28 memoranda of understanding (MOUs); the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) and the Turkish Ministry of Treasury and Finance signed an MoU. The Ministry of Investment signed two MOUs with the private sector in the fields of human capital, innovation, tourism, and quality of life. The Turkish and Saudi private sectors signed 22 MOUs in the fields of construction, real estate, manufacturing, industry, hospitality, vocational training, games, financial services, logistics, and information and communication technology.
