The American research institute, MoffettNathanson, predicted that artificial intelligence would bring in $10 billion annually for Microsoft’s research business.

This week, the American company revealed a new version of the Bing search engine, supported by ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI.

“We think that Bing powered by artificial intelligence may be the breakthrough that really pushes people towards using it,” said Sterling Otey, an analyst at MoffettNathanson.

He added: If Microsoft obtained a 5% market share from Google, this would constitute an increase of $9.5 billion in the company’s revenues.

And he continued: But if the updates in the Bing engine succeeded in acquiring a 10% market share, this would constitute an increase of $ 19 billion.

The search engine market share varies, but Google controls 85% of this market, and expectations for Bing vary between 3% and 10% of the market share.
