Clyde & Co expands its presence in Saudi Arabia with new Jeddah office

Clyde & Co, the largest international law firm in the Middle East announced the opening of its Jeddah office in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The firm has been assisting clients on matters relating to Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East for over 30 years, and the opening of a second office will further strengthen its footprint in the Kingdom.

The new office will be led by corporate & advisory partner Mohammed Almarzouki, who is a licensed lawyer in Saudi Arabia, a qualified solicitor in England and Wales and an attorney in the State of New York. Mohammed has been advising Saudi and multinational corporations and family businesses in Jeddah for over 10 years. 

The Jeddah team also includes Lamisse Bajunaid, an expert in Clyde & Co’s intellectual property, technology, and commercial group, who has over a decade of experience advising international, regional, and local entities in Saudi Arabia.

Clyde & Co is one of the most experienced international law firms in Saudi Arabia. The addition of the Jeddah office brings the on-the-ground team in Saudi Arabia to seven partners and over 24 locally based legal professionals. The team based in Jeddah and Riyadh will advise clients in the western region and across the Kingdom on the full spectrum of their legal needs, including aviation, corporate and commercial, data protection, dispute resolution, employment, energy, marine and trade, insurance, intellectual property, projects and construction, real estate and hospitality, and regulatory and investigations.

The firm’s KSA practice has also grown significantly in the last 12 months in line with market opportunities and client priorities. Most recently, the firm reinforced its long-term commitment to the development of the legal sector and the growth of local talent in Saudi Arabia with the approval of its RHQ licence. The new RHQ licence followed the appointments of corporate partner, Mohammed Almarzouki and dispute resolution partner, Anas Alswailem in 2023.
