Tatarstan President Pays Visit to Jeddah Chamber of Commerce

President of the Republic of Tatarstan, within the Russian Federation, Rustam Ali Minnikhanov and accompanying delegation, visited the Jeddah Chamber on the sidelines of participation, in the meeting of the strategic vision group “Russia and the Islamic World”.

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia plays host to the gathering, under the slogan “Dialogue and prospects for cooperation”.

Members of the Board of Directors and the Secretary-General, in charge of the Jeddah Chamber, Ramiz Al Ghalib, and representatives of sectoral councils, received the visitor, on arrival to the venue.

During the visit, a joint meeting was held between the two sides, which was initiated by the Chamber’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mohammed Naghi, with a speech in which he welcomed the Tatarstan President and accompanying delegation, including businessmen, wishing them all success in their visit to the Kingdom, in light of the aspiration to strengthen economic, trade and investment relations, with the business communities, in the two countries.

Adding that they pledge to work to establish fruitful partnerships, create trade exchange between the two countries, and explore promising opportunities, in the Kingdom and Tatarstan markets.

For his part, the President thanked the Jeddah Chamber for hosting the gathering as well as the hospitality, stressing keenness to develop trade and economic relations between his country and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, within the framework of adopting agricultural projects, petrochemical products, food sectors, and other types of businesses, that are at avail, in Tatarstan or in the Kingdom.

He called on Saudi companies to take part, in investment projects across Tatarstan, which is one of the leading regions, in the Russian Federation, with more incentives to create a competitive business and investment environment for foreign investors, amid Tatarstan’s natural elements and its desire to allow the two sides, to enter each other respective market.

At the end of the meeting, several side-line meetings were held among business owners and investors, from the two sides, to explore joint opportunities.

The two sides also exchanged souvenirs. The Chairman of the Jeddah Chamber presented a gift on this occasion to the Tatarstan President, as an expression of appreciation for the visit.
