Kingdom to play host to 15th summit of Islamic Financial Services Board, on 9-11 Nov, in Jeddah

The Deputy Governor of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) for Research and International Affairs Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Dosari, participated in the Islamic Finance Conference 2021, organized under the title “Islamic Finance in the Post-Covid World”, during Indonesia’s 8th Sharia and Economic Ceremony.

Addressing the gathering, Al-Dosari referred to the most prominent efforts the Saudi Central Bank exerted to mitigate the economic effects of the Coronavirus pandemic on the financial sector, noting that the Islamic banking sector, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ranks the first place, in the world, in terms of volume, with assets amounting to SR2.23 trillion ( $594 billion).

Saudi Central Bank will play host to the activities of the 15th Summit of the Islamic Financial Services Board, which will be held on 9-11 November 2021, in Jeddah, under the motto: “Islamic Finance and Digital Transformation: Balancing Innovation and Flexibility”.

The summit will take place, to discuss ways to enhance innovation, in the Islamic financial system, benefit from its services, adopt technology and ensure sustainability; in order to drive growth and realize development opportunities, within the sector.
