Saudi Budget Q1: Internal debt reached 665 billion riyals, external debt 450 billion riyals

Saudi Ministry of Finance announced the budget for the first quarter of the current year, 2024. The debt at the end of the first quarter reached 1.12 trillion riyals, an increase of approximately 6% from the beginning of the period. The internal debt at the end of the period reached 665 billion riyals, while the external debt reached 450 billion riyals.

During the year 2023, the public debt reached 951 billion riyals, with a percentage of GDP of 24.6%, and this percentage is considered normal compared to the G20 countries.
