Italian “Fincantieri” establishes a shipbuilding unit in the Kingdom

The Italian shipbuilding company “Fincantieri” announced today, Wednesday, its intention to expand its cooperation with the Kingdom through its new unit, Fincantieri Arabia.

The company stated that the Saudi unit will support the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in the sectors of tourism trips, defense industries and maritime services.

“Given the maritime industry’s pivotal role in Vision 2030, we are very much looking forward to establishing strategic partnerships,” the CEO said in a statement.

On Monday, Fincantieri put the final touches on a joint shipbuilding project called Maestral with Abu Dhabi-based Edge Group.
