OPEC Secretary-General: The organization is looking forward to a partnership with Namibia

The Secretary-General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said on Wednesday that the organization is looking forward to a possible partnership with Namibia and is ready to support it in its oil journey.

According to Reuters, the OPEC+ alliance, which includes members of the organization and several allies, is looking forward to Namibia’s membership after losing Angola and other members in the past few years, at a time when Namibia is working on what may become the fourth largest production volume on the continent by the next decade.

“Oil and energy in Namibia will be necessary to meet future demand. We encourage potential investors to study Namibia and its abundant opportunities,” Al-Ghais said in a recorded message at an international energy conference in Namibia.
