Riyadh is set to lower its goal of doubling its population by 2030, as the capital reshapes plans designed to support the economic diversification agenda set by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
According to Bloomberg, Riyadh is now looking forward to hosting 10 million residents by the beginning of the next decade, according to people familiar with the matter who requested anonymity because the information is private.
The current target is about 15 million people, according to the Royal Commission for the City of Riyadh, which said it is conducting reviews of the strategic objectives and sectors in the city of Riyadh.
