Tunisian Prime Minister Discusses Cooperation with Saudi Fund for Development CEO

Tunisian Prime Minister Ahmed Al-Hachani received yesterday in Tunis CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) Sultan Al-Marshad and his accompanying delegation.

Tunisian Minister of Finance Sihem Boughdiri Nemsia, Tunisian Minister of Economy and Planning Feryel Ouerghi, and head of the Political and Economic Affairs Department at Saudi Embassy in Tunisia Saeed Al-Maliki attended the meeting.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance development cooperation and reviewed strong ties, which extend for about 49 years, through SFD’s financing of development projects and programs in various vital sectors in Tunisia since 1975.

SFD’s delegation visit to Tunisia comes with the aim of signing a development loan agreement to finance the project of renovating and developing the railway for the transport of phosphate in Tunisia, and to participate in the handover ceremony of several housing units in the Zaghouan governorate, as part of SFD-funded project that aims to support social growth and economic prosperity in various Tunisian governorates.
