Eni Energy’s profits exceed expectations in Q4 reaching $1.8 billion

Italian energy group Eni announced on Friday that it recorded adjusted net profits for the fourth quarter at $1.8 billion, exceeding analysts’ expectations, supported by the better-than-expected performance of its global gas and liquefied natural gas businesses.

The quarterly result pushed Eni’s net profit for 2023 to 8.3 billion euros, down 38% from the previous year, when the group recorded strong profits on the back of rising energy prices.
