Saudi-Irish Business Forum Explores Cooperation in Aviation, ‎Human Resources

The Federation of Saudi Chambers organized today in Riyadh the Saudi-Irish Business Forum to review investment opportunities and cooperation between the two countries.

The forum, also attended by Irish Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail Neale Richmond, Chairperson of the Federation of Saudi Chambers Hassan Moejeb and Irish Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Gerry Cunningham, tackles collaboration especially in aviation and human resources, in view of Ireland’s great experience in aviation, aerospace, and its position as a global center for excellence in human talent and expertise in various sectors.

Richmond said that Irish-Saudi relations are “going through their best times” at diplomatic and economic levels, and that “Irish companies are looking forward to investment opportunities in the Saudi market”. He urged Saudi companies to invest in his country and explore the opportunities for cooperation in aviation and airport infrastructure, and said that the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 has had a positive impact on the region and the world.

Federation of Saudi Chambers Chairperson Hassan Moejeb said: “The Kingdom Vision 2030 and the Ireland 2040 project open promising horizons for integration and economic cooperation between the two countries.”

He stressed the importance of developing an integrated strategy that points to investment opportunities in the two countries.

The volume of trade between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Ireland reached SAR5.3 billion in 2022, of which SAR75 million Saudi exports and SAR5.2 billion Irish imports.

Representatives of 80 Saudi and Irish companies participated in the forum.
