Kuwait allows companies to establish power clean energy ‎plants

Kuwait intends to allow companies to establish independent energy supply stations that provide clean and cheap energy, in confirmation of its commitment to the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals to provide renewable and environmentally clean energy by reducing emissions.‎

According to the Kuwait News Agency, Dr. Jassim Al-Astad, the Kuwaiti Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, confirmed that the directives of Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince, were clear regarding working to establish stations in the country that operate with clean energy.

Al-Astad explained that the memorandum of understanding concluded with the Chinese side to build a station to generate renewable electrical energy in Kuwait comes as a translation of the leadership’s directives, stressing the necessity of turning to clean energy through environmentally friendly projects.

The day before yesterday in the city of Hangzhou, the Crown Prince and the Chinese President attended the signing of bilateral agreements between the two countries, including a memorandum of understanding between the Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity and the Chinese National Energy Administration for cooperation in the field of the electric power system and the development of renewable energy.
