SCCH Completes Acquisition of Cialis Drug from Eli Lilly Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Chemical Company Holding (SCCH) announced on Tuesday the completion of the acquisition of Cialis drug from Saudi Arabia’s Eli Lilly Company, whereby Saudi Chemical Holding Company will acquire all rights to dispense Cialis in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The completion of the acquisition was based on the acquisition agreement signed between the 2 companies dated 27th of Dec 2021.

Cialis is used to treat men with erectile dysfunction and used to treat the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate gland that is not cancerous); and through this acquisition, AJA Pharmaceutical industries (AJA Pharma), a subsidiary of SCCH, would be the manufacturer and supplier for Cialis in the Saudi market. Cialis revenues in Saudi Arabia reached around SR 100 million (USD 26.7 million) during 2021.
