Top 10 Tadawul Listed Companies, Revealed, in name -By Al-Jazira Capital

Top 10 companies on the Saudi stock exchange Tadawul, were named in name as well as in terms of profitability and book value, by Al Jazira Capital.

Shares of the Saudi Electricity Company and Chemanol Company were traded at the lowest profit multiplier (P/E), by 7.74 and 10 times, respectively, followed by Al Yamamah Steel Industries and Sipchem by 10.9 times and 11.04 times, respectively, too, according to Al-Jazira Capital.

Dar Al-Arkan and Seera Group recorded the lowest book value at 0.59 and 1.05 times, respectively, followed by Al-Jawf Cement and Northern Cement by 1.08 and 1.14 times, respectively, too.

On the other hand, the main Saudi market index closed, at the end of January at 11,271.84 points, an increase of 9.0% over the previous month, the report indicated.

Meanwhile, the total value of trading amounted to SR144.2 billion, and the average daily trading value was at SR6.9 billion, during January.

Shares of the basic materials and banking sectors companies traded 41.4% of the total value, during the month, the report explained, noting that all sectors in the index closed on the rise, and that the performance of the media, the investment and finance sectors was the best, up from the previous month by 19.6% and 14.4% Respectively, while the performance of the food retail and the commercial services sectors was the least inclined, as the increase in the previous month was at 0.4% and 2.0%, respectively.

For its part, the Tadawul Group’s share was the best performer, in January, up 28.8% from the previous month.

On the other hand, the performance of the SADR company’s share was the worst, down 21.3% from the previous month.
