The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in collaboration with the National Center for Privatization, completed a study to develop social programs for people with disabilities who have special circumstances based on best international practices to ensure their integration into society and provide them with appropriate social services. This is in keeping with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategic objectives.

In the cities of Riyadh and Jeddah, 150 housing units will be provided to assist as many as 559 people with minor and severe disabilities, who have no breadwinner and are unable to live independently and work.

Where their lifestyle and personal choices will be respected and social services would be provided in a “person-centered” manner to help people improve their lives.

The project is part of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s commitment to include the private sector in delivering direct services to people with disabilities under its supervision.

As the ministry completed the essential research and regulations for the social houses project, which will be implemented in conjunction with the private sector according to the model, with the help of the National Center for Privatization (purchase-financing-maintenance-operation-transfer). Those interested in investing in this project are encouraged to visit the National Center for Privatization’s website to learn more about it and submit an expression of interest request document.
