Oxagon is the industrial city of NEOM. It  constitutes a new turning point in the world trade map, as the port linked to the city, has the ability to stimulate and support global trade flows, in the region, as it is located on a global shipping lines route, worth up to $2.5 trillion, equivalent to 13 percent of the total volume of the world trade.

The port was designed to best serve the largest international carriers.

Selecting the site at the northwest coast of the Kingdom, giving to the Red Sea, was the best for Oxagon, in NEOM.

It gave a clear signal to the world, that the Kingdom plans to become an important hub for the global trade.

Oxagon is a magnet for major industrial companies, in the world, that are looking for an integrated system of smart logistics services, facilitating manufacturing, transportation, storage and delivery to places of population concentration, the world over.

The sea port of Oxagon is set to provide all services for containers, including maintenance, bunkering and catering of all kinds.

Such aspects, would make the city a global logistics center for containers, passing through the Red Sea.

Oxagon’s location in the heart of the Middle East, and on a global trade artery, qualifies it to become a global hub for communications between Europe and the East, as the European Union is the largest global trading bloc and the greater exporter of services and manufactured goods, in the world.

In addition of being the biggest market in the world, comprising about 500 million consumers.

Therefore, the construction of a large industrial and storage area, in accordance with the latest international standards, in terms of providing logistical services, would qualify it to be a supply point for the West as well as the East.

Official data issued by the European Union commended Oxagon site, as a meeting point between the East and the West, as China jumped to the first place, as a partner, in foreign trade with the European Union countries, with a value of $586 billion in 2020, surpassing the United States of America, for the first time, meaning a gradual shift of the European Union’s trade towards the east.

The smart industrial city Oxagon, whose facilities are spread over the sea water, and sands off the coast, in the far northwest of Saudi Arabia, is betting on providing industrial supplies and logistical services to about 453 million people, residents of 16 countries, in the Middle East, as official data from Oxagon website announced.

To become a center for products’ deliverance to the countries of the Middle East, on one hand, and rising value of China’s foreign trade with the countries of the Middle East, during 2020, amounted to about $271.7 billion, on the other, recording as much as $143.4 exports to countries, in the region, against $128.3 billion in imports..

The Red Sea has a long strategic, commercial and economic importance, through the history.

With 2,250 km length, and a 355 km width, as well as a maximum depth of about 2,211 meters, is considered the entrance to the waters of the Arabian Sea, located between Africa and Asia, through Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Gulf of Aden.

To the north it is bounded by the Sinai Peninsula, the Gulf of Aqaba and the Gulf of Suez, in addition to the Suez Canal, linking the Red Sea and the Mediterranean.

Oxagon plans to revolutionize the world’s view of manufacturing centers, as it is powered by the latest artificial intelligence technologies, henceforth, achieving a quantum leap for the 4th Industrial Revolution; becoming a comprehensive cognitive and knowledge-based city, that offers an exceptional life to its residents.

NEOM aims to preserve 95% of the natural environment, although the project that will be built is an industrial city, whereas Oxagon is designed to be one of the few cities, in the world, that preserves the environment and attracts industries, complying with the principles and objectives of sustainability.
