Top Finnish Official Praises Saudi Desalination Industry’s Edge

Pekka Voutilainen, Ambassador for Trade and Development at the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he was recently on a visit to the Kingdom, praised the scientific level and technological progress, in the Saline Water Conversion Corporation, stressing that what he witnessed on the ground embodies the Kingdom’s approach and wise leadership, in the localization and development of the desalination industry.

That qualified it, he remarked, to lead the world in this vital field, appreciating its ambition and its continuous endeavors to maximize the benefit of modern technologies produced by the 4th Industrial Revolution and artificial intelligence solutions, expressing the desire of the water sector in his country to benefit from the expertise of (desalination), in establishing highly efficient and environmentally friendly production systems.

This came during a meeting with the Governor of the Saline Water Conversion Corporation Eng. Abdullah Al-Abdulkarim, in Riyadh, with the delegation of the Finnish embassy, where they

discussed ways of promoting joint cooperation and strengthening Saudi-Finnish relations in the field.
