Minister of Investment Al-Falih Visits the USA

Minister of Investment, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih began a visit to the United States of America, aimed at highlighting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a major global investment destination, after the launch of HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the National Investment Strategy, last week.

During the visit, he is set to meet with a group of American officials to enhance the existing strategic trade and investment partnership between the United States and the Kingdom.

The visit also aims to encourage American investors to seize the opportunities offered by the great economic shift experienced by the Kingdom, and the unprecedented opportunities that have become available, in many economic sectors, as a result of the launch in the Kingdom.

As part of the visit program, the Minister of Investment spoke to attendees at the Milken Institute’s global conference in Los Angeles, about the role of the national investment strategy, in attracting foreign investors and companies, reviewing a number of the Kingdom’s ambitious initiatives aimed at benefiting from the fallouts the world has witnessed as a result of the pandemic.

On the next leg of the visit, Eng. Al-Falih will travel to Washington, DC, where he will meet with a number of influencers, thinkers and decision-makers from the CEOs of a group of companies based in the United States.
“The National Investment Strategy will bring about a fundamental change in the investment landscape, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which will provide unprecedented opportunities and advantages for investors,” Eng. Al-Falih said.

“We consider American investors to be our partners, and we hope that they will seize the tremendous opportunities that are presented in the context of the transformation phase we are living in, and American innovation and expertise have long and rich history, in the Kingdom, and we seek that American investments continue to play a fundamental role in the economy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is moving to a new and promising stage in its developmental path, he added.
