Market sources said, citing data from the American Petroleum Institute, on Tuesday that oil inventories in the United States rose last week, while inventories of gasoline and distillates fell.
According to the sources, the data showed that US crude stocks increased by 3.3 million barrels during the week ending September 15. Gasoline stocks fell 3.5 million barrels, while distillate stocks, which include diesel and heating oil, fell by three million barrels.
