Let’s Plant as much as Billion Seeds

24 Oct 2021

As you watch the movement that is accompanying the operations of the Green Saudi Initiative and the Green Middle East Initiative, you must wonder how all segments of society might help to activate these efforts. I begin by putting the most basic concepts that we hear from time to time in the hands of readers for opinion surveys.

Imagine, for example, that the value of the planted seedlings rises across society, allowing a visitor to the café to trade for a cup of coffee or a hearty meal from any restaurant. In a roundabout way, this approach can help to increase green space.

It also promotes interest in agriculture and plant care while increasing the amount of benefit derived from it. As long as we’re talking about new approaches to promote awareness, innovation has to be a big part of it. Many cafes, in my opinion, can offer integrated programs that encourage contact and raise awareness of the relevance of this project.

Then, let’s follow the present tourism trend and consider whether it’s possible to develop programs that support this endeavor and are aimed at travelers. I believe that tourism offices, in collaboration with the Ministry and the Authority, can benefit from the desert excursions that they presently offer to tourists by adding an agricultural footprint to them by bringing seeds appropriate for the destination’s environment.

That journey
In this regard, there are numerous theories that affect a variety of parties in different ways. Take municipal and traffic fines, for example.

Isn’t it feasible to start an alternative service for some of these fees by allowing people to participate in the cultivation and care of some seedlings and designating specific locations for this? There are undoubtedly some who enjoy the concept and would be delighted to contribute to a project of this nature with whom they share the joy of involvement.

Because everyone wants speedy results, it could be a good idea to set aside large nurseries for this purpose as well, so that different groups, such as school and university students, can visit and follow up on them. However, we must understand that the support does not stop at agriculture, but also extends to other, more extensive areas when we become environmentally conscious, such as lowering carbon emissions, reducing paper printing, and avoiding the use of anything that hurts the environment.

The objectives we aspire to achieve are not simple, but we can achieve them if everyone works together. When it comes to planting 10 billion trees across the Kingdom, coordination is crucial to achieving this aim.

And when you take the lead in a two-decade-long strategy to defend the planet, you have no choice but to force your presence on the entire international community, and there is no way to back out.

As a result, I’d want to welcome everyone to join in the Green Saudi Initiative’s thorough plan, which will explain how to safeguard the environment while pursuing sustainability.
