Value of awarded projects in the Kingdom reached SAR 33.6 billion during July

A report revealed that the total value of awarded projects reached SAR 33.6 billion during July 2025, compared to SAR 663 million during June 2025.

The report “A Look at the Contracting Sector,” issued by the Saudi Contractors Authority, confirmed that the number of projects awarded in July 2025 was the highest, reaching 19 projects, compared to 7 projects in June 2025. The report indicated that the oil and gas sector accounted for 48% of the total projects, with 9 projects. The construction sector accounted for 26% with 5 projects, followed by the water and energy sector with 21% with 4 projects, and finally the infrastructure sector with 5% with one project. The report noted that the oil and gas sector accounted for the lion’s share in terms of value, with projects valued at SAR 27.3 billion, followed by the water and energy sector with a value of SAR 4.3 billion, followed by the construction sector with a value of SAR 1.5 billion. 1.2 billion riyals, and finally, the infrastructure sector, with a value of 750 million riyals.

The report stated that the Eastern Province ranked first in terms of the number of awarded projects, with 9 projects, followed by Riyadh with 6 projects, Makkah with 2 projects, and Madinah and Asir with 1 project each. The report added that the value of awarded projects in the Eastern Province amounted to 27.3 billion riyals, followed by Madinah with 3.7 billion riyals, Riyadh with 2.1 billion riyals, Makkah with 375 million riyals, and Asir with 91.8 million riyals. The report predicts that one of the awarded projects will be delivered in 2026, while four projects will be awarded in 2028. The remaining projects, representing 73% of the total, will be delivered in 2027. The report indicated that Aramco topped the list of companies in terms of project value in July 2025, with a value of 27.3 billion riyals across nine projects. It was followed by the Saudi Power Procurement Company with a value of 1.8 billion riyals across one project, and the Ministry of Energy with a value of 1.8 billion riyals across one project. It was followed by the Royal Commission for Riyadh Civil Aviation (RCCA) with a value of 750 million riyals across one project, and then the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) with a value of 562 million riyals across one project. More than 25 projects are expected to be awarded during August, approximately 60% of which will be in the construction sector, with 50% of these projects concentrated in the Riyadh and Makkah regions.
