US, Taiwan Continue Tariff Negotiations

Taiwan’s Cabinet said the government is still negotiating better tariff rates with the United States after US President Donald Trump imposed 20% tariffs.

According to Reuters, Taiwan’s Deputy Premier Cheng Li-chun said at a press briefing, “Taiwan’s goal is to seek better and more reasonable tariffs from the United States.”

She added that negotiations with the United States are ongoing and that the government is ready to inform parliament of developments in these negotiations.
