Japanese automaker Toyota has cut its annual net profit forecast to 2.66 trillion yen ($18.06 billion) due to US tariffs.
Toyota attributed the profit cut to the impact of US tariffs and other factors, with actual results showing a decline in operating income.
It forecast operating income for the current fiscal year to reach 3.20 trillion yen (approximately $21.77 billion), down from its previous estimate of 3.80 trillion yen (approximately $25.8 billion).
The company’s shares fell 0.6% in trading on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
