According to the company, the increase in net profit for the current quarter compared to the same quarter of the previous year is primarily due to:

1) The increase in required revenue recognized during the current quarter due to the growth in the regulated asset base of the electricity grid.

2) The increase in electricity generation revenues and the continued growth in demand.

The above was partially offset by:

1) Higher operating and maintenance expenses due to business growth and increased operating assets

2) Higher provisions for electricity receivables

3) Lower other revenues due to a non-recurring item related to a supplier settlement in the same quarter.
