Saudi cement companies’ sales rise 10.5% in July, exports jump 36%

The monthly report on Saudi cement market data revealed that domestic sales of cement companies rose by approximately 10.5% in July compared to the same period last year. Production also rose by 13.7%, and exports jumped by 36%. This continues the positive indicators for the Saudi cement market, supported by rising domestic and foreign demand. Domestic sales recorded a 13% increase during the first seven months of the current year. According to the monthly market report issued by Yamama Cement Company, the production of the 17 companies operating in the market reached approximately 4.7 million tons last July, compared to approximately 4.2 million tons during the same period last year, an increase of 13.7%. Local deliveries to companies also rose to approximately 4.6 million tons, compared to approximately 4.1 million tons during the same month last year, an increase of 10.5%. Exports last month jumped to approximately 691,000 tons, compared to 508,000 tons during the same month last year, an increase of 36%. During the first seven months of this year (January-July 2025), production by local companies rose to approximately 31.3 million tons, compared to 27.7 million tons during the same period last year, an increase of 13.1%. Local deliveries to companies also rose to 30.3 million tons, compared to 26.7 million tons during the same period last year, an increase of 13.4%. Regarding exports for the period, data shows an increase to approximately 4.7 million tons during the first seven months of this year, compared to approximately 3.6 million tons during the same period last year, a 29% increase.

The continued positive market indicators during the first seven months of this year are driven by strong increases recorded during the months of January, February, April, June, and July 2025.

It is worth noting that the positive indicators for the cement market began in the second half of last year and continued during the first half of this year, with domestic sales for the 17 companies operating in the Saudi market increasing by 4%. This marks a return to annual domestic sales growth for cement companies after recording a 7% annual decline in 2023 compared to 2022.
