Italian exports rose 4.9% year-on-year in June, driven primarily by increased purchases from the United States before the new tariffs took effect, according to the national statistics agency ISTAT.
According to the Italian news agency ANSA, the data showed that exports returned to growth on both the monthly and annual levels, rising 4% compared to May 2025 and 4.9% compared to June 2024.
Export volume grew 0.8% year-on-year, while imports rose 3.3% month-on-month and 4.8% year-on-year, with volume growth of 2.6%.
