Cenomi Retail Swings to SAR 85 Mln Q2 Loss on FX, Tax Liabilities

Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair Co. (Cenomi Retail) reported a net loss of SAR 85 million in Q2 2025, compared to a net profit of SAR 84.1 million in the year-earlier period, the company said on Tuesday.

Operating results showed a loss of SAR 11.2 million, down sharply from an operating profit of SAR 185.1 million in Q2 2024. Loss per share was SAR 0.75, versus earnings of SAR 0.62 a year earlier.

The company cited foreign exchange losses, tax settlements, and a drop in operating income as primary contributors to the downturn. These factors outweighed the impact of internal cost-cutting and administrative efficiency initiatives.
