Yen Rises Against Euro and British Pound

The Japanese yen rose significantly today, after Japan’s ruling coalition lost its majority in the House of Councillors and market turmoil in the world’s fourth-largest economy ahead of the deadline for tariff negotiations with the United States.

The yen stabilized at 148.4 against the US dollar, while it rose against the euro to 172.6, and against the pound to 199.03.

Conversely, the euro fell 0.12% to $1.16, while the pound sterling fell to $1.13 in its latest trading session.
