The Kingdom’s non-oil exports increased by 6% in May

The Kingdom’s non-oil exports, including re-exports, increased by 6% in May 2025 compared to the same month last year.

According to data from the General Authority for Statistics, merchandise exports decreased by 14% in May 2025, due to a 21.8% decline in oil exports. The share of oil exports in total exports decreased from 72.1% in May 2024 to 65.6% in May 2025.

As for imports, they increased by 7.8% in May 2025. When looking at the merchandise trade balance, the surplus decreased by 68.4% compared to May 2024.
