Saudi Electricity Company Achieves Major Leap in 2025 Sustainability Rating by S&P Global

The Saudi Electricity Company announced a major leap in its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices rating by S&P Global, scoring 65 out of 100 points.

This marks a 30% increase compared to 2024 and an 85% rise from the 2023 rating.

This achievement underscores the strategic progress made by the company, as its rating exceeded the global utilities sector average — which stands at 39 points — by approximately 66%. It reinforces the company’s position as a regional leader and a model of sustainable excellence in the energy sector.

The progress reflects a comprehensive institutional commitment to sustainability, supported by effective governance frameworks, ambitious strategies, and tangible improvements in environmental and social performance. It also highlights the company’s proactive disclosure practices, aligned with global best standards for sustainability reporting.
