Saudi Contractors Authority: Wood Price Increases 10.8% in June

Some types of wood increased by 1.04% to 10.89% in June 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.

The “Building Materials Price Statistics” bulletin issued by the Saudi Contractors Authority stated that the price of Chilean wood reached 1,546.16 riyals in June 2025 compared to 1,530.31 riyals in June 2024, a 1.04% increase. Meanwhile, the price of African teak wood reached 6,801.25 riyals in June 2025 compared to 6,133.26 riyals in June 2024, a 10.89% increase.

The bulletin indicated that the price of Romanian wood reached 1,500.89 riyals in June 2025, compared to 1,525.97 riyals in June 2024, a decrease of 1.64%. Meanwhile, the price of Indonesian plywood reached 31,164.43 riyals in June 2025, compared to 3,273.18 riyals in June 2024, a decrease of 3.43%. The bulletin indicated that the price of Chilean wood reached 1,546.16 riyals in June 2025, compared to 1,568.78 riyals in May 2025, a decrease of 1.44%. Meanwhile, the price of African teak wood reached 6,801.25 riyals in June 2025, compared to 6,627.84 riyals in May 2025, a 2.62% increase.

The bulletin added that the price of Romanian wood reached 1,500.89 riyals in June 2025, compared to 1,491.14 riyals in May 2025, an increase of 0.65%.

Meanwhile, the price of Indonesian plywood reached 31,164.43 riyals in June 2025, compared to 3,160.43 riyals in May 2025, an increase of 0.01%. The bulletin indicated that September 2024 recorded the highest price for Chilean wood, reaching 1,558.08 riyals, while January 2024 recorded the lowest price, reaching 1,490.86 riyals. It added that March 2025 recorded the highest price, reaching 1,583.25 riyals, while January 2025 recorded the lowest price, reaching 1,514.78 riyals.

The bulletin indicated that July 2024 recorded the highest price for Romanian wood, reaching 1,530.62 riyals, while January 2024 recorded the lowest price, reaching 1,437.41 riyals. It also indicated that June 2025 recorded the highest price, reaching 1,500.89 riyals, while January 2025 recorded the lowest price, reaching 1,477.69 riyals.

The bulletin added that September 2024 recorded the highest price for African teak wood, reaching 6,294.59 riyals, while October 2024 recorded the lowest price, reaching 6,027.22 riyals. It noted that June 2025 recorded the highest price, reaching 6,801.25 riyals, while January 2025 recorded the lowest price, reaching 6,201.32 riyals.

The bulletin stated that March 2024 recorded the highest price for Indonesian Ablakash wood, reaching 3,279.51 riyals, while November 2024 recorded the lowest price, reaching 3,150.25 riyals. It also noted that June 2025 recorded the highest price, reaching 3,160.83 riyals, while April 2025 recorded the lowest price, reaching 3,127.7 riyals.
