Nikkei closes unchanged as investors await monetary policy decisions
Japanese stocks closed mixed on Wednesday as investors awaited three days of monetary policy decisions from the Federal Reserve and the Bank of Japan, followed by the deadline set by US President Donald Trump for concluding trade agreements.
The Nikkei closed little changed at 40,654.70, while the broader Topix index rose 0.4% to close at 2,920.18.
