LG Electronics posts $467.2 million profit in Q2, down 46.6%

LG Electronics, the South Korean home appliance maker, announced Monday its second-quarter operating profit estimate of 639.1 billion won ($467.2 million), a 46.6% decrease from the same period last year.

Revenue fell 4.4% to 20.74 trillion won. Net profit data was not available.

Net operating profit fell 15.2% from the median estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax.

The company will release its final earnings report later.
