Japanese stocks close higher
The Japanese stock market closed higher today, supported by a weaker yen, but gains were limited by investors taking profits.
The Nikkei index rose 0.33% to 39,821.28 points, after swinging between gains and slight losses during the session. The broader Topix index rose 0.41% to close at 2,828.16 points.
