Investors are awaiting four US data releases this week

Consumer Price Index (YoY, June) is scheduled for Tuesday, excluding food and energy Producer Price Index (M-o-M, June) is scheduled for Wednesday, retail sales (M-o-M, June) is scheduled for Thursday, and Michigan Consumer Confidence (July) is scheduled for Friday (FX Street), according to a report by Al Rajhi Capital.

In Europe, Eurozone industrial production (M-o-M, May) is scheduled for Tuesday, UK core CPI (YoY, June) and retail price index (YoY, June) are scheduled for Wednesday, followed by jobless claims change (June) and the SA unemployment rate (3M, May) on Thursday (FX Street). According to the report, Asia-Pacific markets traded mixed on Monday, as investors assessed Bitcoin’s record high and the impact of Trump’s 30% tariffs on the European Union and Mexico (CNBC).

Oil prices also rose, extending Friday’s 2% gain amid fears of new US sanctions on Russia, but gains were capped by increased Saudi production and uncertainty surrounding the tariffs (CNBC).
