(GCC) Interconnection Authority showcases the potential of AI to improve corporate efficiency

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Interconnection Authority (GCC) organized a specialized workshop on artificial intelligence (AI) today, Wednesday, in cooperation with Points Information Technology Company at its headquarters in Dammam. The workshop aimed to showcase the potential of AI to improve corporate efficiency using Microsoft Copilot and Azure AI technologies.

The workshop included live demonstrations of the latest AI applications in the daily work environment, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a focus on practical use cases that align with the Authority’s operational needs. The workshop also highlighted the role of AI in automating repetitive tasks, summarizing meetings, analyzing data, and extracting actionable insights. Engineer Ahmed Al Ibrahim, CEO of the GCC Interconnection Authority, stated that the workshop is part of a series of workshops planned for the future, in cooperation with Points Information Technology Company. The workshops aim to enhance the integration of AI technologies across the Authority’s various departments, build an innovative digital culture that keeps pace with global developments and supports operational excellence, foster a culture of innovation and digital empowerment, and ensure safe and scalable adoption of AI. He added that the workshop reflects the Authority’s commitment to adopting the latest technological solutions to empower its staff and create a smarter and more efficient work environment. He added that adopting AI technologies is not just a technical option; it is a strategic direction that enhances the Authority’s ability to keep pace with digital transformations in the energy sector and supports its vision for a more connected and sustainable future.
