European stocks open mixed

European stocks saw mixed performance on Monday, as investors awaited any developments related to trade, as the tariff deadline set by US President Donald Trump approached.

The broader European STOXX 600 index was steady at 540.39 points.

Major regional indices were mixed, with the German DAX rising 0.3% to 23,869.21 points.

France’s CAC 40 index was flat at 7,692.78 points, while Britain’s FTSE 100 index fell 0.2% to 8,803.89 points.
