European stocks fell on Monday, led by auto stocks, as investors remained concerned about US President Donald Trump’s threats to impose steep tariffs on imports from the European Union and Mexico.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index fell 0.4% to 544.82 points, while the German DAX index fell 0.8% to 24,048.22 points.
The French CAC 40 index fell 0.5% to 7,784.47 points, while the British FTSE 100 index rose 0.15% to 8,954.63 points.
