European stock indices open higher
European stocks rose slightly on Tuesday, led by auto stocks, amid improved sentiment after US President Donald Trump expressed his willingness to negotiate tariffs with the European Union.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index rose 0.18% to 547.95 points, and the German DAX index rose 0.19% to 24,206.36 points.
The UK’s FTSE 100 index was flat at 8,998.82 points, and the French CAC 40 index rose 0.19% to 7,822.87 points.
