European shares rose on Friday, heading for slight weekly gains, as investors focused on corporate earnings for an indication of the impact of US tariff policies on the business sector.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index rose 0.3% to 548.84 points as of 07:31 GMT, heading for its second consecutive weekly gain.
Other major regional indices also posted slight gains, including Germany’s DAX, France’s CAC 40, and Britain’s FTSE 100.
