Saudi Contractors Authority: Rebar Prices Increased by 1.9% in May

Rebar prices increased by 0.37% to 1.96% in May 2025 compared to prices in May 2024. Prices decreased by 0.28% to 1.77% by the end of May 2025 compared to April 2025.

The “Building Materials Price Statistics” bulletin issued by the Saudi Contractors Authority indicated that the price of 6 mm domestic rebar reached SAR 3,922.65 per ton in May 2025, compared to SAR 3,929.03 per ton in May 2024, a 0.16% increase. The price of 8 mm domestic rebar reached SAR 2,748.04 per ton in May 2025, compared to SAR 2,758.21 in May 2024, a 0.37% increase.

The bulletin stated that the price of 10 mm domestic rebar reached SAR 2,803.45 per ton in May 2025, compared to SAR 2,810.52 per ton in May 2024, a 0.25% increase. The price of 12 mm domestic rebar reached SAR 2,722.47 per ton in May 2025, compared to SAR 2,673.94 per ton in May 2024, a 1.81% increase. The price of 14 mm domestic rebar reached SAR 2,725.55 per ton in May 2025, compared to SAR 2,673.14 per ton in May 2024, a 1.96% increase. The bulletin confirmed that the price of 16 mm domestic rebar reached SAR 2,727.92 per ton in May 2025, compared to SAR 2,676.20 per ton in May 2024, a 1.93% increase. The price of 18 mm domestic rebar reached SAR 2,724.92 per ton in May 2025, compared to SAR 2,676.85 per ton in May 2024.

It indicated that the price of 6 mm domestic rebar reached SAR 3,922.65 per ton in May 2025, compared to SAR 3,902.42 per ton in April 2025, a 0.52% increase. The price of 8 mm domestic rebar reached SAR 2,748.04 per ton in May 2025, compared to SAR 2,763.16 per ton in April 2025, a 0.55% decrease. She added that the price of 10 mm national rebar reached SAR 2,803.45 per ton in May 2025, compared to SAR 2,811.44 per ton in April 2025, a decrease of 0.28%. The price of 12 mm national rebar reached SAR 2,722.47 per ton in May 2025, compared to SAR 2,771.44 per ton in April 2025, a decrease of 1.77%. The price of 14 mm national rebar reached SAR 2,725.55 per ton in May 2025, compared to SAR 2,773.37 per ton in April 2025, a decrease of 1.72%. The bulletin showed that the price of 16 mm domestic reinforcing steel reached 2,727.92 riyals in May 2025, compared to 2,774.39 riyals per ton in April 2025, a decrease of 1.67%, while the price of 18 mm domestic reinforcing steel reached 2,724.92 riyals per ton in May 2025, compared to 2,772.27 riyals per ton in April 2025, a decrease of 1.71%.
