Saudi Arabia, Netherlands Sign Several Agreements in Environmental, Water and Agricultural Fields

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands signed several agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between entities from the environment, water and agriculture sectors, along with Saudi and Dutch companies and entities. The deals include investments exceeding SAR428 million to develop and localize advanced technologies in environmental, water and agricultural fields.

During his June 10–12 visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al Mushaiti oversaw the signing of 27 agreements and MoUs, in the presence of senior officials from the ministry and representatives from both the public and private sectors.

The visit comes as part of the ministry’s strategy to enhance the global competitiveness of Saudi Arabia’s agricultural sector, expand the production and export of local agricultural products, boost trade with the Netherlands and strengthen international partnerships in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
