Saudi Arabia, Belarus sign a MOU in accounting, auditing, and professional work

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by Dr. Hussam bin Abdulmohsen Al-Anqari, President of the General Auditing Bureau, and Belarus, represented by Vasily Gryzimov, Head of Government Oversight, today signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the two bodies in the field of accounting, auditing, and professional work.

Based on the memorandum of understanding, the two bodies will cooperate to exchange expertise in the fields of financial auditing, compliance, and performance review, to implement a number of joint research and advisory projects, and to organize meetings, conferences, and training programs on topics of common interest, within the framework of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI). Dr. Al-Anqari explained that this memorandum is an extension of the memoranda of understanding concluded by the General Auditing Bureau with a number of counterpart institutions in sister and friendly countries. These memoranda of understanding, together, reflect the Bureau’s high professional standing at the regional and international levels, and its important role in sharing its distinguished professional expertise with counterpart institutions that are members of regional and international organizations of supreme audit institutions.

Following the signing ceremony, the two sides held a bilateral meeting to discuss topics of mutual interest and explore ways to enhance and activate them in a number of areas.
