Japan’s Nikkei index fell in the final minute of trading today, extending its decline for a third day, amid growing concerns among traders about global trade tensions.
The Nikkei index closed down 0.06% at 37,446.81, with 122 of the 225 stocks on the index declining, 98 advancing, and five remaining unchanged.
The broader Topix index closed down 0.22%, according to Reuters.
The safe-haven yen weighed on stocks after rising to a one-week high of 142.4 to the dollar early Tuesday.
