Mazen Altamimi Appointed Chairman of Gulf General, Taher Agueel Named Vice Chairman

The Gulf General Cooperative Insurance Co. announced on Monday the Board of Directors’ Decision to appoint Mr. Mazen Hani Altamimi as Chairman of the Board of Directors (Independent) and Mr. Taher Mohammed Omar Agueel as Vice Chairman (Non-Executive).

The Board of Directors also decided to form its subcommittees for the new session, as follows:

1. Executive Committee:

– Mr. Mazen Hani Altamimi (Committee Chairman) Independent

– Mr. Taher Mohammed Omar Agueel (Committee Member) Non-executive

– Mr. Mohamed Husni Jazeel (Committee Member) Non-executive

2. Investment Committee:

– Mr. Saud Abdulaziz AlSulaiman (Committee Chairman) Non-executive

– Mr. Taher Mohammed Omar Agueel (Committee Member) Non-executive

– Mr. Muath Khalid Alzamil (Committee Member) Independent

3. Nomination and Remuneration Committee:

– Mr. Muath Khalid Alzamil (Committee Chairman) Independent

– Mr. Jamal Abdullah AlDabbagh (Committee Member) Non-executive

– Mr. Abdulwahab Mossab Abukwaik (Committee Member) Independent

The Company clarified that it obtained the Insurance Authority’s no-objection on Sunday, June 22, 2025.

This comes in reference to the results of the Ordinary General Assembly Meeting held on May 15, 2025, during which the Members of the Company’s Board of Directors were elected for its new term, which began on May 16, 2025, and ends on May 15, 2028.
