CST Reports Telecom Indicators in Makkah, Holy Sites on Eid Al-Adha 1446 AH

The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) revealed yesterday the telecom indicators in Makkah and the holy sites during Eid Al-Adha, Dhu Al-Hijjah 10, 1446 AH, where the total number of voice calls reached 22.3 million, including 19.1 million local calls and 3.2 million international calls.

 Statistics showed that mobile internet download speeds averaged 299 Mbit/s. Meanwhile, the daily average of data consumption reached 1,229 MB per person, equivalent to three times the global average.

 The communications and technology sector is meeting the high demand for capacity with the highest quality standards. This aligns with the leadership’s aspirations to provide high download speeds and facilitate pilgrims’ local and international calls smoothly and efficiently through the sector’s technical preparations and human resources.
