Wataniya Insurance Appoints Sami Alhalabi as BOD Member

Wataniya Insurance Co. announced on Monday that its Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting (Second Meeting). The voting results were as follows:

1. Approved the appointment of Sami Mousa Alhalabi as an independent member of the Board of Directors, effective from the date of his appointment on December 02, 2024, to complete the Board’s term until the end of the current term on April 25, 2025. He succeeds former member Mr. Tahir Mohammed Aldabbagh, a Non-Executive Board Member;
2. Approved the amendment of the Wataniya’s Corporate Governance Policy;
3. Approved the amendment of Article 13 of the Company’s Bylaws, regarding the reduction of the Company’s capital;
4. Approved the amendment of Article 14 of the Company’s Bylaws, regarding the number of Board members; and
5. Approved the amendment of Wataniya Insurance Company’s Bylaws n to align with the new Companies Law, and to rearrange and number the Bylaws to comply with the proposed amendments.
