US Court Order Temporarily Reinstates Trump Tariffs

A US federal appeals court has temporarily halted a lower court ruling that had struck down most of the tariffs previously imposed by President Donald Trump.

The Trump administration had previously informed the federal appeals court that it would seek emergency relief from the US Supreme Court if the ruling on the tariffs was not promptly stayed.

In its order, the appeals court said that the ruling issued Wednesday evening by the US Court of International Trade “is temporarily stayed until further notice while this Court considers the application documents.”
